- A 50 year old man with no medical history presented to emergency department at Can Tho SIS hospital with sudden onset of weakness of the left side for 3 hours ago.
- On examination, he had GCS 15 score, Broca aphasia, left hemiplegia ( Muscle strength is 3/5), left facial droop; NISHH = 16 score.
- The head MRI show hypersignal in the right middle cerebral artery territory and occlusion of the right MCA.


- The cerebral DSA confirm occlusion of the right MCA.

- Mechanical thrombectomy with suction aspiration 2 times was performed with successful TICI (Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction) 3 revascularization.

- The head CT after 12 hours of intervention

- The next day, he had only a very mild left hemiplegia (NIHSS = 0).

- He had a full recovery and was discharged home 5 days later.
